Believe it or not, a lot of your account security depends on your password. This guide will show you how to create a good and secure password! First of all you do not want to have any words in your password (such as "happy," "snow," "cheese," or any other word). People will randomly start trying to guess your password with easy to remember words (such as the ones listed). A good pointer in creating a good password is, do not have any REAL words in your password (or anything easy to remember). Have a scramble of letters, numbers, and any other character allowed. So we know that you shouldn't have any real words in your password, the next step is having uppercase and lowercase letters. Why? Well, even if you have a password with ONE uppercase letter in it, it will multiply the possiblility of your password by thousands. Having uppercase and lowercase letters can also confuse the person trying to guess your password, so throw in a few uppercase letters in there. Having ALT characters also helps tremendously. Some forums or sites in general do not allow ALT characters. By the way, ALT characters are like ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) Ä § ♀ { ] [. But, you should use ALT characters where allowed. Another simple pointer is having a long password (not like 3asd8794ja9sdfjA9SD8JF98j$434), but at least 10-15 characters. Also, for the sake of ALL of your accounts, you want to have a different password for every account (because if one account is cracked, they are all cracked - if you use the same password). These four easy pointers (ALT characters, uppercase & lowercase, scrambles of characters, and having a LONG password) will help your account be more secure. But, you're probably wondering HOW to remember this long password. Well, you should probably write them down on a piece of paper. For example, for your NeoPets account, you could write down on your paper "NeoPets Account: myusername / mypAsWoRD$#$43f3j4FIJ." Maybe for your email account you could write down "Email Account: myusername@this_site.com / myPASSwordFORmyEMAIL43$#$." It generally helps you remember you password when you keep typing it continuously, you'll remember eventually!
We hope this guide helped you and helped secure your account. :)
